Meetify is an independent project maintained by a single developer. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it — in plain language.
What we collect

We do not collect IP address logs, browser fingerprints, analytics events, or any data beyond what is listed above.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to operate your account. We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose your data to any third party — ever.
Where data is stored
All data is stored on a server located in Switzerland. Switzerland operates under the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), which provides protections equivalent to or exceeding the EU GDPR.
How long we keep your data
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data — email, password hash, username, avatar — is permanently and irreversibly removed from our database.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie (token) strictly required
for authentication. No tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies are used.
Your rights
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct — update inaccurate data via your profile settings
- Delete — remove your account and all data via profile settings, or by emailing us

Security
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (cost factor 10) — never stored in plaintext
- All connections use HTTPS

Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): your email address and password are strictly necessary to create and operate your account. Without this data, the service cannot function.
We do not process data for any purpose beyond what is required to deliver the service.
Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will delete their account and all associated data without delay.
Data breach notification
In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform affected users without undue delay.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
